A League Of Its Own Sports Debate

A League Of Its Own Sports Debate

Hey guys. So in light of Noah Hull assuming ownership of the page, we're going to reiterate some rules and add some new clauses. We've noticed a lot of NSR posts. More so than what we were used to seeing. We want to encourage a chill atmosphere and allow for the occasional NSR as it's refreshing and let's be honest, we're a community now. BUT REMEMBER this is a SPORTS PAGE FIRST AND FOREMOST. So we don't want to discourage from any NSR.. we don't want it taking away from what we're actually here to do and that's DEBATE SPORTS. As the administrators of this page, we'll reserve the right to exercise our own collective judgement and discretion when deciding how many are too many posts, and subsequent deleting of posts. We Admins OWE YOU THE RESPECT of explaining why a post is deleted and we'll do so privately. And we expect the same respect. CRYING PUBLICLY will not be tolerated. As we often say, come to one of us when there's an issue and we'll resolve it. MEMES have become a very confusing issue with this page. We want to allow memes, but there's a limit to the content in which can be displayed. Just like with NSR posts, we admins will reserve the right to use our own discretion when it comes to filtering the memes on the page. We have members who have kids, and those kids use computers and may inadvertently see our page and it's contents.... the last thing I or anyone wants is to lose a member because their 5 year old saw a meme of Tony Romo with his vagina flapping in the wind (You know the one). And I think that's pretty reasonable. Also the vulgarity of the text. We DON'T WANT to be overthrown with memes that are tasteless or aimed to troll. Sure it's fun but the more informative the meme the better, as opposed to insulting. BLOCKING ADMINS won't be tolerated and will buy you a 1 way ticket off the page. To put it short, we can't trust you as a member if you block yourself from one of us. And please we can't stress enough that if you have a problem, and that means with even an administrator, PM one of us and we'll figure it out. Personal attacks are not needed when debating sports. There's a line between using one playfully with a friend and using one to insult a fellow member. If debating turns into a pissing match of personal attacks and insults then that's when posts get deleted and members get warnings. As for the rest of the rules it remains the same simple stuff. No posts of religion, politics, sex, etc. And no personal attacks. Thanks from all the admins, Ricky, Josh, Lori, Trevor Jordan, Droc, Trent, Dusty, Serhan, Nathan. Happy Debating!!
