NOTE: DANCE PROFESSIONALS ONLY!!! To join the group, you must message an administrator to let us know that you're a professional dancer/teacher/professional associated with dance. Dance Teacher Network (DTN) reserves the right to deny any membership request for any reason. This group is intended for informal discussion of issues dance teachers face. It can also act as a resource for upcoming workshops, classes, music ideas/help, costume ideas/help, etc. Your administrators are Alexis Lepperd, founder, Chelsea Fredrickson, and Tara Lightner. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions! This group is only for DANCE TEACHERS AND RELATED PROFESSIONALS. No parents, students, or non-dance affiliates. Yes, you may invite people to the group. Please let us know if you invite someone so we can approve them right away. Be respectful of each other! Not everyone has the same opinions about things, and it's difficult to determine tone on the internet, so please keep that in mind. If you find a post to be disrespectful, inappropriate, or against our rules, or find a member who should not be in the group, please message an administrator so we can address the situation. You may discuss anything you'd like, dance related. Competitions, music, costumes, business questions, parent/student problems - anything along those lines. Just make sure it's relevant to the group. We ask our members not to use/copy other members' choreography, ideas, concepts, or materials (basically anything posted here) without the express consent of the original poster. It is a DTN "no no" to screenshot or copy any DTN post to any personal profile or any other Facebook group. The founder and administrators all have at least 3 other jobs! Please don't make "DTN Police" a 4th job for us! Yes, you can advertise your workshops, job postings, dance related merchandise, etc. as long as it doesn't get "spammy" in nature. Please limit your advertisements to no more than one post in any 7 day period. Advertisements of any "direct sales" business (Younique, Jamberry, etc) is prohibited. This includes marketing for additional sales people. As of 2016, there are more than 13,000 members here. DTN cannot be held responsible or liable for the intent or posts of any member. Please keep in mind that while posting here is "safe", you are basically posting to a convention center filled with people. Plain and simple, that's about it.
